Dealership car care or mechanic shop?
Imo I prefer the dealer. I feel as though yes some parts are expensive at the dealership but they have a better quality of work. They make sure the car is in tip top condition before its given back to you. They will fix any issues that THEY caused with no questions asked and in most cases, you dont have to pay anything. Plus, I feel like who better to work on my car than the actual place that it came from?!
At a mechanic shop parts may be cheaper but their quality of work isn’t the greatest. They rush things and dont own up to mistakes they make. They also dont fix mess ups that they caused like the dealership does. Often times you will pay for it as well.

I think it depends on the car tbh. If you have a newer/ more expensive car or you got it from a dealer that does maintenance and repairs then it make sense to get it done there, but if you have an older car or you bought it second hand, personally I would just take it somewhere cheaper for basic stuff like (1)
