The number of people that I have blocked in the last 3 days is UNREAL.
People have been extremely disturbed (apparently) by my most recently pinned video. It has almost 500K views and people have had some choice words about how I reacted to my drink.
If you ask me, I was extremely kind when I asked for her to fill up my drink. Also, I paid the $3 upcharge for no ice, with fill, so I was just kindly asking for what I paid for. I could have been extremely rude, cussed at the brewista, or yelled. That’s not the kind of person I am. And for people to leave EXTREMELY rude, discriminatory comments on that video…. NOT okay. Those people were immediately blocked and comments removed. That’s not the kind of space I want my page to reflect.
Also, there is a real human behind this phone. It costs nothing to just not saying anything at all. “If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all.”

In today's digital age, maintaining a positive online space can be quite challenging, especially when content attracts a lot of attention like a viral video. From my experience, the key is to focus on kindness and setting clear boundaries against negativity. When I recently posted a video of my coffee order, I received an overwhelming amount of views but also faced rude and discriminatory comments. It was frustrating, but I reminded myself that keeping calm and responding politely is crucial—not everyone will react kindly, but you control how you respond. Paying attention to details like a paid $3 upcharge for no ice is part of being fair and clear about expectations as a customer. Blocking was necessary to protect my online environment and mental well-being. It’s important to remember that behind every screen is a real person, and we all deserve respect. I found that letting unnecessary negativity slide often enables it to grow, so addressing it through blocking or comment removal helped maintain the positive vibe I want for my followers. If you’re managing a page or just want to keep your social media a positive place, consider adopting a similar approach: be polite, clarify your boundaries, and don’t hesitate to remove toxicity. It costs nothing to be kind or silent if you have nothing nice to say—this simple principle can transform your digital interactions. Embrace positivity, celebrate respectful exchanges, and know when to cut off harmful negativity to cultivate a supportive online community.
