4 BEAUTIFUL LOCATIONS IN MYKONOS

The 4 Most Beautiful Locations in Old Town, Mykonos, Greece that you can not miss on your visit❤️

Mykonos is a beautiful city and these picturesque spots are a must-see! Just make sure to hit all of these spots first thing in the morning as soon as the sun rises to avoid any crowds ☀️

📍Hidden Viewpoint: This one requires a bit of a hike on an abandoned road, but you can find it at 37°27'00.9"N 25°19'51.4"E.

📍Agia Kyriaki Square: There are opportunities for multiple viewpoints here, but it’s another very crowded area but has iconic views of the bougainvillea trees!

📍Paraportiani Church: One of the best places to watch the sunrise from and it’s located right next to the beach if you want to dip your toes in the water

📍Cosi Bar: There are lots of bars and restaurants in this area so it may be crowded. But seeing the giant bougainvillea tree is worth it 🌺

... Read moreMykonos truly is a dream destination, and while those four spots in Old Town are absolutely breathtaking, there's so much more to discover on this magical island! When I first planned my trip, I quickly realized that getting around Mykonos is part of the adventure. I opted for an ATV, which was fantastic for exploring the winding roads and discovering hidden beaches, but the local bus system is also super reliable for getting to popular spots like Paradise Beach or Super Paradise. Just be ready for them to get pretty crowded during peak season! Speaking of peak season, my biggest tip for anyone planning a Mykonos getaway is to consider visiting during the shoulder months, like May, early June, or September. The weather is still glorious, the water is warm, and you get to experience the island's charm without the intense crowds you'd find in July or August. Plus, prices for accommodation and flights tend to be a bit more reasonable. Beyond the stunning views within Mykonos Old Town, you absolutely have to experience the iconic Windmills and stroll through the romantic alleys of Little Venice, especially around sunset. These areas are just a stone's throw from the spots I mentioned, and they offer a completely different, yet equally enchanting, vibe. Watching the sunset from Little Venice with a cocktail in hand was one of my most cherished memories! The famed 'white buildings' of Mykonos are everywhere, and exploring them is a delight. And let's talk about food! Mykonos has an incredible culinary scene. Don't leave without trying some fresh seafood – the grilled octopus is a must-try! I also loved the traditional Greek tavernas tucked away in the narrow streets, offering authentic souvlaki and moussaka. It's easy to get caught up in the trendy beach clubs, but those local spots often have the best flavors and a more authentic atmosphere. Finally, pack light but smart. Swimsuits, sunhats, comfortable sandals for exploring the cobblestone streets (those heels can be tricky!), and something stylish for evenings out are essentials. Don't forget a good camera to capture all those vibrant 'bougainvillea trees' and breathtaking 'harbor' views, especially during 'sunrise'! Mykonos is an island that truly captivates your heart, and I can't wait for you to experience its magic.
