Beyond just the delicious food ratings I shared, Golden Road Brewing in Anaheim holds a special place in my heart as my absolute favorite OC brewery, and I want to tell you why it's a must-visit for anyone in the area! First off, the ambiance is fantastic. As the OCR noted, it's incredibly spacious, which is a huge plus, especially when you're looking to go out with a group of friends or family. They truly have big outdoor tables that make it perfect for larger gatherings or just enjoying the beautiful Anaheim weather. I love how it's often nicely packed with a lively, yet relaxed, energy. It’s also very family-friendly and often dog-friendly in the outdoor areas, which is a huge bonus if you're bringing your furry friends along. The overall food is delicious here, making it a reliable spot for a great meal. While I gave you the quick scores, let me elaborate on some of those standout dishes. The pretzel, earning a solid 9/10, is simply legendary. It's not just any pretzel; it's perfectly warm, soft on the inside with a slightly crisp exterior, and seasoned just right. Paired with their cheese sauce, it's my absolute go-to menu here and a fantastic starter for the table. The carnivore pizza, at an 8/10, also deserves more praise. The OCR mentioned the toppings and cheese paired well, and the crust was crispy, and I wholeheartedly agree. It strikes that perfect balance of savory meats without being overly greasy. I’ve definitely would get it again. And for those who might skip the pizza, don't overlook the lemon pepper wings, which I rated 7.5/10. I specifically liked it because the wings were crispy and well seasoned. You get that satisfying crunch with every bite, and the lemon pepper tang is just right. The nachos, scoring a 7/10, are still a solid choice for sharing, especially if you love loaded toppings. While the OCR noted the chips weren't the crispy ones that i usually prefer, the generous and flavorful toppings still make them a good contender for a casual snack. Of course, being a brewery, the beer selection is extensive. While I focused on the food, they have a fantastic rotating tap list with something for everyone, from their popular Golden Road Mango Cart to seasonal brews. Don't hesitate to ask their staff for recommendations based on your preferences; they're always super helpful. A little tip for visiting: parking can sometimes be a bit tricky on super busy evenings, so I recommend going a little earlier, especially if you're with a big group. Or, consider ride-sharing. It’s located not too far from Disneyland, making it a great stop after a day at the parks if you want a more relaxed evening meal. If you're looking for a place to go out with a group of friends/family, you absolutely can't go wrong here. Overall, Golden Road Brewing Anaheim delivers on all fronts: delicious food, a fantastic beer selection, and a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. It truly serve good food and makes for a memorable outing. You'll understand why it's my favorite!
