The Best Seafood Restaurant in Melbourne‼️

📍Address: 192 Station St, Port Melbourne VIC 3207, Australia

👍Why I like it: With a Singaporean Palette, most foods i’ve eaten in Melbourne were very plain and ordinary! But one seafood restaurant definitely stood out from the rest! With the freshest seafood and ingredients, and vast menu options, all the dishes we had ordered were close to perfection!

⋆。°✩ Cheese Baked Oysters (AUD 4.5/pp)

- they were incredibly fresh and was so good that i had to get another serving! the oysters melted in my mouth and complemented the cheese and cream sauce really well. A solid 5/5 in my opinion!

⋆。°✩ Fish and Chips (AUD 38-48)

- for our mains we chose fish and chips! the prices are dependent on the fish options! we choose the flatfish and chose to get it grilled, but i recommend opting for the fried option! the fish was a 3.8/5 but the fries was a 4.5/5! It was so crispy and well-seasoned and you would be surprised by the amount if restaurants that have disappointed us with their fries!

⋆。°✩ Garlic Tiger Prawns (AUD 30)

- for our entree, we ordered the garlic tiger prawns as it was recommended by our server and named as a signature dish! Completely no regrets! The prawns were as fresh as they could be and coated with a perfectly crispy coating and mixed with a spicy garlic sauce! If you are a fan of tobasco, the sauce tasted similar to that! my family was not a fan of the prawns but i was! A 4.8/5, it can be a little oily but eaten with the rice, it would be much better!

Rubira's
2024/5/30 Edited to

... Read moreIf you're planning a visit to Rubira's, I highly recommend exploring their full menu beyond the few dishes I tried. Their Seafood Chowder is a hearty choice that complements the fresh oysters and prawns wonderfully. Also, consider trying different cooking styles like their grilled fish options or the classic fish and chips with crispy fries, which many patrons rave about. Don't forget to pair your meal with a refreshing beverage; a local beer like the Carlton Draught from nearby breweries makes a perfect companion. The atmosphere at Rubira's is relaxed yet upscale, ideal for family dinners or casual catch-ups with friends. For those interested in the venue's location, it's conveniently situated at 192 Station St, Port Melbourne, making it accessible for both locals and visitors. Additionally, for oyster lovers and seafood enthusiasts, Rubira's offers daily specials that showcase the best of Melbourne’s seafood bounty, ensuring fresh and seasonal ingredients throughout the year. This attention to quality and detail sets it apart from other seafood spots in the area. Overall, Rubira's is a gem for anyone looking to indulge in quality seafood that blends traditional flavors with fresh, local ingredients—an experience definitely worth returning to.
