He-brews within me 🫶🏾
For the last month, I’ve been studying and learning more about faith! So I’ve been in Hebrews heavily!
God has really showed me a lot about myself in this last month and how faith actually works!
I’m taking this moment to share this vulnerable side of me which includes my relationship with God. We real tight so the rawness is always going to come out.
Has anyone else studied faith? Hebrews?
Diving into the Book of Hebrews these past few weeks has been such a transformative experience for me! It’s one thing to read about faith, but another entirely to truly grasp how it works and how foundational it is to our walk with God. For anyone else embarking on their own faith journey or looking to deepen their understanding, I wanted to share some of the practical steps and profound insights that have reshaped my perspective. One of the biggest takeaways from Hebrews, and something I’ve put into practice, is the concept of building a strong faith life. It’s not just about believing; it’s about actively engaging with God’s Word and personalizing its truths. As Hebrews 4:12 reminds us, the "Word of God is alive & powerful; it is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword." This means it's active and transformative! I’ve found that truly letting the scriptures speak to my heart, just like writing notes in my Bible, helps make them real. My process often involves a few key steps: Consistent Engagement: Making a daily habit of opening my Bible, not just skimming, but truly reading and meditating on what God is saying. Hebrews shows us so many examples of faith, and it starts with hearing the Word. Personalizing God's Promises: Just as those ancient believers did, I try to see how God’s promises apply directly to my life. When Hebrews 6:14-15 talks about God's promise to Abraham, it reminds me that "God doesn't lie!" If He promised it, He will do it for me too, in His perfect timing. It encourages me to believe that "My time is coming." Confessing His Truths: Speaking God’s promises out loud, affirming them in my heart and with my voice. This isn’t just reciting words; it’s an act of faith, declaring what God has said over my circumstances. Anchoring in Hope: Hebrews 6:19 calls hope "a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls." In life's storms, this hope, rooted in Jesus Christ, keeps me steady. Knowing that "Christ Is Our High Priest" and that Jesus guarantees a better covenant (Hebrews 8:10) gives me immense peace and confidence. His sacrifice means unwavering love and acceptance, no matter what. Understanding Jesus' Sacrifice: Hebrews 10:10-19 highlights the lasting impact of Jesus' sacrifice for sins. Reflecting on this helps me appreciate the depth of His love and the importance of unwavering faith in God's promises, knowing that through Him, I have direct access to God. Believing for Victory: Hebrews 11:1-13 makes it clear: "Without faith, there's no victory. It's our responsibility to work it... out (faith)." This isn't passive; it's active trust. Seeing examples of faith in Hebrews 11:14-35 inspires me to step out in my own faith. I’m also persuaded by the "Ten promises of God that I am persuaded of from this Bible," especially that God will never abandon us (Hebrews 13:2-25). This assurance fuels my aspirations and spiritual goals. This journey through Hebrews has truly been about cultivating an "unwavering faith" and trusting the "Word of God" to guide me. It’s a beautiful process of spiritual growth, and I’m so grateful to share it with you all!
