Ashibetsu is a city near Furano. We know this place because it is the birthplace of our Japanese friends. They always say that the house is rural, nothing, but with the vibe of the countryside, not chaos, quiet, that we like.
He started the journey about two hours from Sapporo, but he actually had a train station and a bus.
We like it here. It's a chill-out feed, where they have the Ashibetsu Onsen Starlight Hotel (https://ashibetsuonsenstarlight.com-hotel.info), but we sleep in a friend's house. The city is very quiet, very quiet, there are a lot of abandoned houses. In the city, it's still quiet, but there are many Supermarket restaurants. People here are very kind, very nice.

The resident food here is Gatatan. The broth is similar to topped, but less viscous. Add seafood. Octopus, shrimp, vegetables and eggs. It doesn't taste very strong. It's salty. Add ramen-like lines.
🩷 at Road Station Star Plaza, there is a food court that also sells Gatatan. Anyone who wants to taste Ashibetsu's food must come here.
Who goes to Furano and passes through this city? I really want to stop by and know that Hokkaido has another lovely city waiting for you.
ถ้าใครกำลังเสิร์ชคำว่า “Ashibetsu” แล้วลังเลว่าเมืองนี้มีอะไรน่าไป เราขอสรุปแบบคนไปมาแล้วว่า Ashibetsu เป็นเมืองเล็กๆ ในฮอกไกโดที่เหมาะกับการ “พักใจ” มากกว่าการมาเช็กอินแบบเร่งรีบ เมืองจะเงียบจริง เงียบแบบได้ยินเสียงลม เสียงรถนานๆ ทีผ่าน เหมาะกับคนที่อยากหนีความวุ่นวายจากซัปโปโรหรือเมืองท่องเที่ยวหลักๆ และอยากเห็นฮอกไกโดในมุมชนบท การเดินทาง: จากซัปโปโรขับรถมาประมาณ 2 ชั่วโมงกว่าๆ (สะดวกสุดถ้าอยากแวะหลายจุด) แต่ถ้าไม่มีรถก็ยังพอเดินทางด้วยรถไฟ/รถบัสได้เหมือนกัน แนะนำให้เช็กเวลาเดินรถล่วงหน้า เพราะเมืองเล็ก รอบอาจไม่ได้ถี่มาก ทริป 1 วันใน Ashibetsu (แพลนที่เราใช้แล้วเวิร์ก) 1) เริ่มเช้าที่ Road Station Star Plaza: ที่นี่เหมือนจุดพักรถ/ศูนย์รวมของเมือง มีที่จอดรถ ห้องน้ำ และโซนกินง่ายๆ เราชอบบรรยากาศตรงนี้เพราะเห็นทั้งตัวอาคารกับวิวรอบๆ แล้วได้ฟีล “มาถึงเมืองแล้วจริงๆ” ถ้ามองดีๆ จะเห็นสะพาน Hoshino Furusato Ohashi อยู่ใกล้ๆ ด้วย เหมาะกับแวะถ่ายรูปช่วงฟ้าใส 2) ไปต่อที่ Sandan Falls: น้ำตกที่สวยแบบธรรมชาติสุดๆ น้ำไหลเป็นชั้นๆ ตามชื่อ (sand-an) ยิ่งช่วงใบไม้เปลี่ยนสีคือเข้ากันมาก แนะนำรองเท้าพื้นเกาะดี เพราะบางจุดอาจชื้น/ลื่น และถ้าถ่ายรูปให้สวย ลองถ่ายมุมกว้างให้เห็นชั้นน้ำตก กับมุมใกล้ๆ จะเห็นฟองน้ำกระแทกหินชัดมาก 3) ปิดท้ายด้วย Dai Kannon of Kita no Miyako Park: รูปปั้นเจ้าแม่กวนอิมยักษ์ที่ “ตระหง่าน” สมคำพูด เห็นแล้วรู้สึกตัวเล็กลงทันที เราแนะนำเผื่อเวลาไว้หน่อย เพราะอยากให้เดินดูรอบๆ และถ่ายรูปหลายมุม (มุมใกล้จะเห็นรายละเอียดกับรัศมีด้านหลังสวยมาก) เรื่องกินที่ควรลอง: เมนูประจำเมืองคือ Gatatan ซุปจะคล้ายราดหน้าแต่ไม่หนืดเท่า มีซีฟู้ด ผัก ไข่ และเส้นคล้ายราเมง รสออกเค็มนุ่มๆ ไม่จัดมาก ใครอยากลองแบบง่ายที่สุด เราว่ากินที่ฟู้ดคอร์ทใน Road Station Star Plaza สะดวกและไม่ต้องลุ้นหาร้าน ทิปเล็กๆ ก่อนมา Ashibetsu: เตรียมเงินสดติดไว้บ้าง เผื่อร้านเล็กๆ หรือจุดชนบทบางที่ไม่รับบัตร และถ้ามาช่วงเย็นควรวางแผนเรื่องอาหาร/ร้านค้าที่ปิดเร็ว เมืองนี้เสน่ห์คือความช้าและความสงบ ถ้าเปิดใจให้จังหวะเมืองพาไป รับรองว่า Ashibetsu จะน่ารักกว่าที่คิดจริงๆ
