really wish i knew this sooner...
I've been doing a lot of reflecting - probably like everybody else - being that it's the end of the year and all.
I turn 33 today, and something that's been on my mind a lot this week is, 'I wonder where I would be if I had known _____ when I was younger.' Like, high school age younger. It's wild to look back on my life and see where I've come from, the things I've done so far and the goals I still have for myself. So in thinking about this, 'what I wish I knew,' concept, I started writing, and honestly I came up with way more than the five things I am sharing with this post. I hope the things I share here find the people who need to hear them most.

Reflecting on life's lessons can be transformative, especially during milestone birthdays. At 33, many individuals engage in introspection, assessing their past choices and future aspirations. Here are some key insights to consider: 1. **Know Your Worth**: Never let others decide your value. Embrace your identity, whether viewed through a spiritual lens or personal perspective. 2. **Set Boundaries**: Recognize relationships that drain you. It's crucial to establish healthy boundaries to protect your peace. Walking away from toxic connections can foster a more supportive environment for yourself. 3. **Teach Others How to Treat You**: Communication is key. Let people know your limits; this encourages respect and can enhance mutual understanding. 4. **Seek Internal Validation**: Focus on self-affirmation rather than relying on external sources. True confidence comes from within and recognizing your self-worth can significantly boost your self-esteem. 5. **Embrace Rest**: Life's pressures can weigh heavily, making the need for rest paramount. Remember that you don’t have to hustle constantly; allow yourself time to recharge and reflect. By incorporating these lessons into your life, you can create a more fulfilling existence, one where your well-being takes precedence over societal expectations.
