EOS released a body oil not too long ago! I have given it a try and conducted my thoughts. Here’s my quick review!
🩵 Does it smell exactly like the lotion?
❀ Unfortunately, no. This does not smell EXACTLY like the lotion to me. It has an off scent that I’m assuming is from the oils. Now, this doesn’t mean I think it smells bad! It’s not a bad scent it’s just not identical to the lotion. I could see this throwing some people off, though.
🩵 Is it oily?
❀ Honestly, it is a little oily but not it a way (I personally) find bothersome. All body oils you use are going to make you feel at least a teeny tiny bit oily when you first apply it. It does absorb quickly, though! Trust me, I hate feeling oily and this doesn’t bother me.
🩵 Does it make your skin smooth?
❀ ANYTHING by eos is going to make your skin smooth—so yes! They know what they’re doing when it comes to body care products. And if you pair this with their vanilla body lotion… omg you’ll be smooth and soft and moisturized for DAYS!
🩵 Do I recommend?
❀ Sure! I do think some people won’t like this because of the scent and possible oiliness (remember less is more when it comes to body oils, though!) but I do think lots WILL like this. So, it’s just up to your preference but I do think you should give it a try if you’re on the fence!

Let me know your thoughts if you’ve tried it! Do you think they should come out with more scent?
... Read moreAfter my initial quick review, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into my experience with the new EOS Body Oil, especially since so many of you are curious about finding the best body oil for dry skin or simply wondering if EOS body oil is truly good.
Let's talk more about the scent. The original article mentioned it doesn't smell exactly like the lotion, which is true. For me, the vanilla cashmere scent in the body oil feels a little more earthy and warm, probably due to the oil base, but it still has that comforting, familiar sweetness. It’s not an overpowering fragrance, which I appreciate, and it settles beautifully on the skin. While it might not be identical to its lotion counterpart, it certainly complements it without clashing if you decide to layer them. I've found the subtle aroma lingers pleasantly for a few hours, adding a nice touch to my self-care routine.
Now, onto the texture and the common question: is it oily? My honest answer is that yes, it's an oil, so you'll feel it initially. However, what truly impresses me is how quickly it absorbs. I've used many body oils that leave a greasy residue for ages, but this one is different. Within minutes, my skin feels moisturized and silky, not slick. My personal trick is to apply it to slightly damp skin right after a shower. A little goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more if needed. The inclusion of plant-based squalane likely plays a huge role here, as squalane is known for its lightweight, non-greasy feel and excellent compatibility with skin.
The promise of smooth skin is definitely delivered. My legs, which usually suffer from dryness, feel incredibly soft and look luminous after using this. It really helps to lock in moisture, and I can genuinely feel the difference in my skin's texture throughout the day. For anyone asking if this is a body oil for dry skin, I would confidently say yes. It provides that much-needed barrier and hydration that parched skin craves. The shea better formula, a hallmark of EOS products, combined with its 24H moisture claim, isn't just marketing—it's something I've experienced. My skin stays hydrated and supple for a remarkable amount of time, reducing that tight, itchy feeling I often get.
Beyond daily moisturizing, I've also found this EOS body oil to be fantastic as a massage oil. Its smooth glide makes it perfect for a relaxing self-massage after a long day, or for helping soothe tired muscles. It doesn't drag on the skin, allowing for easy manipulation, and the subtle scent adds to the calming experience. If you're looking to elevate your self-care ritual, consider incorporating it this way.
Overall, after extended use, I can confirm that this EOS body oil review stands strong: it's a fantastic addition to the EOS body care line. For those evaluating the personal care company EOS, this product reinforces their reputation for creating effective and enjoyable skincare. It delivers on its promises of hydration and smoothness, all while absorbing beautifully. If you've been on the fence, I highly recommend giving the vanilla cashmere body oil a try. It’s certainly become one of my favorite ways to achieve soft, glowing skin.
