It's a period of intentional withdrawal, a time to step back from the constant demands of social life, endless scrolling, and external expectations. As a single mom juggling a 9-5, prepping for Christmas, and my son's birthday all at once, it's become my secret weapon for staying sane and productive. It’s about creating boundaries, setting clear goals, and focusing my energy where it truly matters. It’s not always easy, especially when you feel like you should be 'doing it all,' but the clarity and peace it brings are invaluable. I've found that being 'productive' and 'money motivated' while working towards my goals actually feels like self-care because it reduces future stress. But beyond that, it’s about simple things: making sure I get enough sleep, taking a few minutes for quiet reflection, or even just enjoying a cup of tea without interruptions. These little moments help me recharge so I can show up fully for my son and my work.
