Pride is dangerous . That’s why a lot people can’t come to God. Today humble your self before the Lord and don’t put your hope in money or yourself
Pride often blinds us to our need for humility and connection with God. Reflecting on the passage from Obadiah 1:3, we see how the Edomites placed their trust in natural fortresses and elevated positions, believing they were safe from harm. Similarly, many today put their confidence in material wealth, achievements, or status, thinking these will shield them from life's uncertainties. However, this false sense of security can be deceptive and ultimately isolating. In my personal experience, moments of hardship revealed how fragile self-reliance and financial success can be in providing peace. When I faced unexpected challenges, it was only by humbling myself, acknowledging my limitations, and seeking spiritual guidance that I found real comfort and strength. This humility allowed me to rebuild with a deeper understanding that hope placed in God offers lasting security. Pride tends to erect invisible walls that keep us distant from God and others. But learning to let go of self-sufficiency and trust in God's plan opens new pathways for growth and grace. Whether your challenges are financial, relational, or spiritual, embracing humility can transform your perspective and invite healing. So today, consider where you might be putting your hope—are you relying solely on your own power or resources? Scripture encourages us to place our confidence in God rather than in unstable foundations. By doing so, we align with a source of true strength that never fades, helping us navigate life’s difficulties with grace and peace.
