Cool Things I’ve Built!

1. This is an idea button that I keep close to my bed which I can press anytime and speak an idea into. Then it’ll process the audio and have ChatGPT give me suggestions to make it better. All the feedback and audio is texted back to me so that I can see it in the morning!

2. Door opener, self explanatory. Worked with Arduino Cloud.

3. Camera Glasses! My terrible attempt at learning how to work with PCBs while putting together a cheap take on the Meta Raybans!

4. Speechy - A mobile app built with Flutter, Dart, and Python to help folks get better at public speaking!

5. Py-iMessenger - Discord bot but in iMessage

From customizable Arduino projects to mobile applications, there are countless creative avenues to explore. For instance, the AI-powered idea button serves as an ingenious tool that captures spontaneous thoughts and ideas, turning them into refined suggestions with the help of ChatGPT. This can be particularly useful for creatives or professionals aiming to streamline their brainstorming processes. The door opener also showcases the versatility of Arduino technology—using sensors and software, it transforms any door into a smart entryway, providing convenience and an element of automation to daily routines. On the other hand, the Camera Glasses project highlights the challenges and excitement of working with PCBs and wearable technology. Although it may have been a difficult journey for the creator, the process itself is a valuable learning experience. Furthermore, the Speechy app exemplifies how technology can aid in personal development, providing instant feedback on public speaking skills, a must-have tool for anyone looking to improve their presentation capabilities. Lastly, the Py-iMessenger turns traditional messaging into a fun, interactive platform inspired by Discord, showcasing the potential of blending two worlds in communication. Each of these projects invites makers to experiment, learn, and ultimately build something uniquely their own.

Those are pretty cool. The door opener, are you running a Homeassistant server to link your devices to your local network? The glasses, I used to work on Computer Vision projects. I placed my cameras near the pupillary axis connected to my glasses above them. the angle at about 15° outwards for each eye will help mimic our normal stereo vision and reduce a vertigo feeling when viewing it live.
