Hey Lemon8 fam! So many of you asked for more details after my 'What's in my school bag?' post, and I totally get it – being prepared for high school is key! Especially as a junior, things can get pretty intense, so having a well-packed bag makes all the difference. Let me dive a little deeper into why these items are my everyday essentials and how I keep my WSPORT backpack organized. First up, academics! My notebooks, folders, and binders are non-negotiable. I find having separate binders for different subjects really helps keep my papers from turning into a chaotic mess. And speaking of organization, my Strathmore sketchbook and planner are lifesavers. I love using my fine tip fun pens, S.NOTE colored pens, and highlighters to color-code my planner assignments – it makes studying feel a little less daunting! Of course, a reliable CASIO calculator is a must for math, and I always keep a stash of sticky notes and up&up index cards for quick reminders or last-minute study sessions. My pencil bag holds all my go-to pens and pencils, ensuring I'm never scrambling for a writing tool. Next, let's talk about personal care and emergencies because, let's be real, high school days can be unpredictable! My emergency kit is probably the most important thing. It's packed with essentials like BAND-AID, TYLENOL, and gauze – you never know when a headache or a small cut might pop up. Hand cleansing wipes are also a must-have, especially after using shared school supplies. For daily comfort, I always carry my NATIVE deodorant (coconut & vanilla scent is my fave!), a small lotion, lippies, chapstick, and some hair ties. And yes, having feminine products on hand is just smart planning. Staying hydrated is also super important, which is why my reusable water bottle is always with me. Beyond just what to pack, how you pack makes a huge difference. I try to use small pouches for different categories – one for my first aid kit, one for personal care items, and another for smaller school supplies like erasers and paper clips. This way, everything has its place, and I’m not digging around aimlessly. Also, consider the weight! Try not to overpack your backpack to avoid back strain.
