Personally, I prefer the native Steam version for convenience and performance. My Performance Experience with FH5 on Steam Deck When I first fired up Forza Horizon 5, I was genuinely impressed. On my original Steam Deck, I found that with a bit of tweaking, I could consistently achieve a smooth 30-40 FPS. The key is managing your expectations; this isn't going to be a locked 60 FPS AAA PC experience, but it's absolutely playable and incredibly fun for a portable device. The improved battery life is also a game-changer for longer play sessions of Forza Horizon. I've found that with the OLED, I can often push certain settings slightly higher or maintain a more consistent 40 FPS, utilizing the OLED's 90Hz refresh rate with a 40Hz lock for a super smooth feel. Optimizing Settings for the Best Forza Horizon Gameplay Here are some of my go-to settings and tips for playing Forza Horizon 5 on any Steam Deck: In-Game Graphics: Start with the 'Medium' preset.
