「京都でアメリカンカフェに行きたい」って思ったとき、私が真っ先におすすめしたいのがSCHOOL BUS COFFEE STOP。入口の“HELLO!”看板からテンションが上がるし、店内もどこか海外っぽい空気感で、写真を撮る手が止まりません。上の写真みたいに「KYOTO」の文字が見える席もあって、旅気分も味わえました。 私的に外せないのはフラットホワイト。ラテよりエスプレッソ感がしっかりしていて、ミルクのまろやかさはあるのにコーヒーのコクが濃いタイプ。ラテアートがきれいな黄色いカップで出てくるのも可愛くて、まず見た目で満足→飲んでさらに満足、の流れでした。甘いものと合わせても負けないので、モーニングにもぴったり。 フードはフレンチトーストが王道。ふわっとした食感で、コーヒーと一緒に食べると一気に“アメリカンな朝”っぽくなる感じがします。写真にある目玉焼きのプレートみたいに、甘い×しょっぱいの組み合わせが好きな人にも刺さるはず。朝の時間に行けない日でも、ランチタイムに食べられるのがうれしいポイントです。 あと、店内のオリジナルカップやマグが並んでいる棚も要チェック。スクールバスのロゴ入りでカラーも可愛いので、待ち時間に眺めるだけでも楽しいです。 京都で「おしゃれで、ちゃんとコーヒーが美味しいアメリカンカフェ」を探しているなら、雰囲気・ドリンク・フードのバランスが良いここはかなり満足度高め。次は席を変えて、また違う“KYOTO×アメリカン”な写真を撮りに行きたいです。
