Hey y’all! Just wanted to give a lil review on my current rotation of perfumes :) I’ve been on my “clean/soapy 🧼🫧” scent phase for about 2 weeks or so. That being said, I want to share my thoughts and ratings for each perfume!!
[All the perfumes displayed in the picture were bought from either TJ Maxx or Marshalls! I recommend buying this brand from either store since they retail 4x as much at other stores.]
• Acqua Neroli: It’s pretty strong and pairs well with Warm Cotton and thus other perfume named I am Blessed. If you like a clean musk, this is for you! I give it a 8/10.
• Warm Cotton: This was my first Clean Classic purchase. It smells just like freshly cleaned sheets and a big ol block of Zote soap. It’s very strong, as I’ve had people point out the scent of “clean laundry” as soon as they get close to me. Of course, this scent isn’t for everyone as some might find it to similar to the scent of cleaning agents. Personally, I love it and have used it the most! I give it a 9/10. I don’t recommend putting it on before you eat though 😅.
• Fresh Laundry: Warm Cotton gives off powdered laundry detergent vibes. Meanwhile, Fresh Laundry gives off fabric softener vibes! The scent is definitely not as strong as the other two. It’s a soft, comforting floral scent. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last as long even if you layer your scents (body wash, lotion, oil, etc.) Therefore this one gets a 6/10.
•Fresh Shower: As the name implies, Fresh Shower gives a subtle bubble bath scent. Honestly I haven’t had this perfume long enough but based off the first spritz, I’d say I’d use it more often than Fresh Laundry. It’s also not as overpowering as the others. I give it a 7.5/10, My opinion may change later on tbh.
If you’re really into these clean/fresh type of scents, I’d recommend trying at least one of these from this brand specifically. If not, they may have a sampler pack!
... Read moreBeyond just a quick spritz, diving into the world of Clean Classic perfumes has been such a journey for me! If you're anything like me and constantly on the hunt for that perfect 'just stepped out of the shower' or 'freshly laundered' scent, then this line is definitely worth exploring. I've found that each bottle, from the iconic Clean Classic Warm Cotton to the delicate Clean Classic Fresh Laundry, truly captures a unique facet of cleanliness.
Let's talk about the magic behind these scents. For instance, Clean Classic Warm Cotton isn't just a name; it’s an experience. Many find it evokes notes of citrus, verbena, and lily, grounded by a warm musk, which collectively create that unmistakable aroma of clothes dried in the sun. It’s comforting, familiar, and surprisingly sophisticated for an everyday scent. It’s no wonder it’s often a top pick in 'clean perfume reviews.'
Then there's Clean Classic Fresh Laundry, which, as the name suggests, leans into the fabric softener side of things. It's often characterized by notes of fresh cut grass, jasmine, and a hint of musk, making it softer and perhaps more subtle than Warm Cotton. If you appreciate a fragrance that feels like a gentle, floral embrace rather than a bold statement, Fresh Laundry might be your new go-to. It’s perfect for those days when you just want to smell effortlessly good.
And we can't forget Clean Reserve Acqua Neroli. This one often stands out with its bright, zesty citrus notes, predominantly neroli, often blended with a touch of jasmine and amber. It's invigorating and feels like a burst of Mediterranean sunshine. While the Clean Classic line focuses on everyday freshness, Acqua Neroli brings a more elevated, yet still undeniably clean, vibe. It's a fantastic option if you want something that feels a bit more vibrant but still fits that 'clean' aesthetic.
One thing I've learned about these 'eau de parfum' formulations is that while some, like Warm Cotton, have excellent sillage and longevity, others might be more intimate. If you find a scent like Fresh Laundry doesn't last as long as you'd like, try layering! Start with an unscented body lotion, then spritz your perfume, or even explore matching body washes if available. This can significantly boost the staying power and create a more immersive scent experience.
For those wondering about the bottles themselves – each Clean Classic perfume bottle is elegantly simple, often clear glass with minimalist labels, letting the 'clean' aesthetic shine through even before you spray. They look great on any vanity and speak to the brand's understated philosophy.
Finding these gems, especially at places like TJ Maxx or Marshalls, is a true win. It means you can explore this wonderful world of 'clean girl' scents without breaking the bank. Whether you're after the cozy embrace of Warm Cotton, the soft whisper of Fresh Laundry, the energetic burst of Acqua Neroli, or even the subtle freshness of Clean Classic Shower Fresh, there's a scent in this collection for every mood and occasion. Keep an eye out for tester sets if you're new to the brand – it’s a great way to discover your personal favorite among the 'My Clean Collection' perfumes!
