We passed the time at the cafe until sunset and went around again 🚶
A very good place as a Japanese garden.
Even those who are not interested in the garden may be good during the event ☝🏻
Anyway, it is held when it is hot, but the mist of fog is cool 🎐
On the way, you can enter Botan-no-kan, enter a general store, and have a restaurant until evening 👍🏻
The night business was only a cafe and there were coffee, tea, ice cream, zenzai, cakes, so I could do it slowly ☕
「日本庭園×植物」を目的に行くなら、由志園はかなり満足度が高いと思いました。庭園って“見るだけ”になりがちですが、ここは植物の見せ方が上手で、歩くたびに主役が入れ替わる感覚があります。牡丹のイメージが強いけど、園内は季節の花や緑が点在していて、写真も撮りやすい配置でした。 私が意識したのは「植物を観察する視点」をちょっと増やすこと。たとえば葉の形や色のグラデーション、木の枝ぶり、石や苔との組み合わせを見ると、日本庭園の面白さが一気に上がります。花そのものだけじゃなく、背景の緑・水面の反射・飛び石のラインまで含めて“植物が映える舞台”になっているのが日本庭園の良さだなと実感しました。 夏に行く場合は、園内の霧の演出（ミスト）が本当に助かります。暑い日に「夏の夜」まで粘ると体力勝負になりがちなので、私は夕方に入って、明るい時間はミストの中をゆっくり散策→カフェで休憩→暗くなってから「本庭園」をもう一度、という流れが快適でした。明るい時間は植物の色味がはっきり見えるし、夜はライトで陰影が出て“同じ庭でも別物”に見えます。 植物目当ての人向けに、持って行って良かったものも書いておきます。 ・歩きやすい靴：飛び石や園路をしっかり歩くので必須 ・虫よけ＆薄手の羽織：水辺と緑が多い庭園は夏だと特にあると安心 ・スマホの夜景モード：ライトアップは明暗差があるので、露出を少し落とすと植物が締まって写りました 子ども連れなら、園内で探しもの系の企画もあって「植物に興味がない子でも飽きにくい」点が良かったです。大人は庭の構成や植物観察、子どもはゲーム感覚、という風に分けて楽しめるのは助かりました。 日本庭園は“静かに鑑賞する場所”と思っていたけど、由志園はイベントの力で入り口が広い印象です。植物をゆっくり見たい人も、ライトアップで非日常を味わいたい人も、どちらにもおすすめできます。
