A vision only matters if it feels real

I encourage leaders to listen for the natural phrases their teams use to describe change. Adopting this language makes the vision repeatable and memorable. Lastly, honesty about tradeoffs builds trust. Promising everything risks disengagement, whereas clear priorities offer meaningful signals to anchor efforts. In sum, making a vision feel real takes ongoing effort, adaptation, and communication tailored to how everyone experiences work. When done well, it fosters alignment, trust, and drive that go beyond slides and speeches.
