Starting the year with a diverse reading list brought a fresh mix of emotions and genres for me. 'Onyx Storm' by Rebecca Yarros absolutely devastated me with its ending, leaving me eager for the next installment. If you enjoy fantasy with intense emotional stakes and dragon lore, this is a must-read. On the other hand, 'The Housemaid' by Freida McFadden presented a dark exploration of trust and secrets behind closed doors. While the story gripped me, I found myself challenged by its perspective, especially regarding relationships. Elin Hilderbrand's 'The Perfect Couple' delivered a compelling mystery set in a coastal town, though the ending didn't fully satisfy me. I appreciated the character development but wished the resolution was stronger. 'The Friend Zone' by Abby Jimenez offered two viewpoints that enriched the romantic tension, though some plot elements felt predictable at times, making it a pleasant but familiar read. Finally, 'The Wedding People' resonated with me deeply because of its Newport, RI setting. Phoebe Stone, the main character, felt authentic and lively, making the story engaging throughout. However, I couldn't help but debate the ending, which left some questions open. Sharing these reads has been a rewarding way to reflect on themes of love, conflict, and unexpected life choices. What I Read in January 📖

I read 14 books in the month of January!! I think this is the most books I’ve ever read in one month so I’m very impressed with myself! Granted, I did read multiple short books and I finished up some books that I had already started but still 🤷‍♀️ This puts my reading goal for the year at 14/30
