My recent trip back to Turks & Caicos was absolutely unforgettable! If you're dreaming of a tropical vacation, let me share some of my top highlights and must-visit spots that truly made my 2023 getaway so special. It's truly a place where you can just unwind and soak in the beauty. First up, let's talk food! You simply cannot visit Providenciales without experiencing Da Conch Shack. This place is legendary for a reason. Imagine sitting right on the beach, the turquoise water just steps away, enjoying the freshest conch you've ever tasted. I tried their conch fritters and conch salad, and they were out of this world. The atmosphere is so laid-back and authentically Caribbean. They even have a BAMBAR RUM bar right there, perfect for sipping on a rum punch while watching the waves. I heard they sometimes have live music, which adds to the already fantastic vibe. Definitely check out their menu to see some of their daily specials and prices before you go, but honestly, everything looked amazing. For a more upscale evening, Aziza Restaurant + Lounge Turks and Caicos was a fantastic choice. The ambiance here is just incredible, especially at night when the sign for AZIZA RESTAURANT + LOUNGE glows. We had such a lovely dinner, the food was exquisite, and the service was top-notch. It's the perfect spot if you're looking for a chic night out. They also have a SHISHA LOUNGE AND RESTAURANT area, which is great for relaxing with friends after your meal. The Aziza Lounge really sets a sophisticated tone for a memorable night. Beyond dining, Turks & Caicos offers so many adventures. One of the most magical experiences was clear kayaking. We found @thelookingglass.tc and spent an afternoon paddling in a transparent kayak over the incredibly clear water. Seeing the marine life swimming beneath us was breathtaking! It’s a unique perspective you won't get anywhere else. Another highlight was a trip to Iguana Island. It’s a short boat ride away, and you get to see huge, friendly iguanas in their natural habitat. It's such a cool experience and a great way to connect with the local wildlife. And speaking of unique experiences, have you ever considered horse riding on the beach? It’s exactly as picturesque as it sounds, truly like something out of a movie. For a more casual bite, we also popped into Omar Cafe, a charming outdoor spot with palm trees and ocean views – perfect for a quick selfie and a delicious lunch. And of course, just boating around the islands, exploring hidden coves and enjoying the sheer beauty of the Turks and Caicos waters, was an adventure in itself. Every corner of this island paradise offers something new to discover. Overall, my Turks and Caicos trip was an absolute dream. From the lively Da Conch Shack to the elegant Aziza Restaurant, and all the amazing activities in between, it’s a destination that truly has it all.
