Enjoy Pennsylvania in November🍂

🍁Attend local festivals and events (here’s some examples although there are plenty!)

👉Good Food Fest in Phoenixville on November 3rd from 11am to 4pm! It will be at Kimberton Fair Grounds. There will be music, food trucks, farm animals and more!

👉Chester County Craft Guild Fine Craft Fair at Chester County Art Association on November 2nd and 3rd! Handmade displays crafted by fine craft artists make the perfect gifts for Christmas 🖼️

🍷Wine Tours (some of my favorites)

👉 Clover Hill Vineyards & Winery hosts lovely wine tours in November 🍶 just go to their website: clover hill winery.com/events/ and see all the different events and tastings they have!

👉 Blue Ridge Estate Vineyard & Winery also has an absolutely breathtaking view and landscape. They have a calendar packed with events all related to wine tasting and tours! just go to blueridgeestatewinery.com/calendar 🍇

🏈 Football Games (the perfect November thing to do!)

👉 Attend NFL games! The two major NFL teams in PA are the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Depending on your preference, you can see an Eagles games at Lincoln Financial Field or a Steelers games at Acrisure Stadium 🏟️

👉 College football - if you’d rather experience college football, you CANNOT miss an iconic Penn State game. Located in State College, PA, you can see a game at Beaver Stadium 🦫 it’s sooo much fun 🤩

Pennsylvania

... Read moreExploring Pennsylvania in November offers a unique charm, blending crisp autumn air with early holiday cheer. Beyond the fantastic craft fairs and festivals, I’ve found even more ways to make the most of this beautiful state during the transitional season. After checking out some amazing craft fairs for unique Christmas gifts, like the ones mentioned, I also stumbled upon a few charming holiday markets that typically kick off in November – perfect for getting into the festive spirit early! Think twinkling lights, local artisan goods, and warm, festive treats. Places like Peddler's Village or local town squares often transform into picturesque holiday destinations, offering a beautiful backdrop for some early holiday shopping and a truly magical atmosphere. These markets are a great way to find handcrafted treasures and truly immerse yourself in the local culture. Even though the peak fall foliage might be winding down, November in PA still offers breathtaking crisp air and stunning landscapes for outdoor adventures. I love exploring some of the state parks for a quiet hike; the bare trees create a different kind of beauty, and it feels so refreshing. You can find fantastic trails, especially around areas like the Poconos or even closer to cities. It's an ideal time for a brisk walk, a scenic drive through the countryside, or even some bird watching as migratory birds pass through. Just remember to bundle up and wear layers! For those chillier days, I highly recommend diving into Pennsylvania's rich history and vibrant arts scene. I recently visited the historic sites in Philadelphia – it’s incredible to walk through places like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. And if you're further west, Gettysburg offers a profoundly moving experience. Beyond grand historical landmarks, there are countless museums, from the vast collections at the Philadelphia Museum of Art to smaller, unique local museums that are perfect for an educational and cozy afternoon. Many towns also host art gallery strolls or live music events, offering a different kind of cultural experience. While a wine tour is absolutely a highlight, don't forget about Pennsylvania's growing craft beverage scene! I’ve had some fantastic experiences at local breweries and distilleries, many of which offer tours and tastings similar to a wine tour. It’s a great way to warm up and try some local flavors, often paired with delicious pub fare. Seeking out farm-to-table restaurants that highlight seasonal ingredients is also a must – November menus are often full of comforting, hearty dishes like squash soups, roasted root vegetables, and apple desserts, showcasing the best of local produce. What I love most about November in Pennsylvania is the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. It’s a time to embrace the changing seasons, get a head start on holiday cheer, or simply enjoy a thrilling football game with passionate fans. Just remember to pack layers for the unpredictable weather, and planning ahead for tickets, especially for popular events or games, is always a good idea. There’s truly so much to explore and enjoy, making November a surprisingly perfect time to visit for anyone looking for exciting things to do.
