3 Day Post Op

I am 3 days post op laparoscopic assisted Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass!

Here are a few things I have preferred over others in these past few days. I have been dealing with gnarly muscle spasms, which I wasn’t prepared for, so im taking it pretty easy and bland when it comes to the full liquid diet.

# 1: Premier Protein Drinks: The cake batter has been the most tolerable for me. 🧁

# 2: Lemon Lime and Strawberry Jell-O. The actual Jell-O brand I can do, but other brands, my taste buds don’t like. 🍋🍋‍🟩

# 3 : WATER (I do drink liquid IV too but this along with vitamins are the most important tool for hydration and health!) 💧

# 4: Chewable Bariatric Vitamins! I tried capsules, couldn’t do it. These actually taste pretty good. 🍓

# 5: Extra Strength “Tylenol” between prescription meds. Stay on top of your pain meds, I learned the hard way 😫.

# 6 and 7: Weighted heating pad! Literally has been my saving grace with my spasms! 🥰

Update: I had my tubes out on Thursday and it’s been a sleepy resting blur since. Yesterday the pain was pretty bad but today it’s a lot better. I think the hardest part for me is to just sit tf down and be rest. Thank you everyone for the kind healing messages 🫶🏻 #vlog #salpingectomy

VSG - Sleeves 4/10 and currently SUPER sore. Missing food but on protein shakes and able to have Greek yogurt. Hopefully the soreness wears off soon!

Not going to lie this recovery is a little more brutal than I anticipated 😅 Also I still have on one of my hospital bands because the docs said I have to wear it for 3 days so if an emergency happens they know I had some sort of anesthesia that I’m not supposed to get again in a certain time frame
