What Programming Language You Should Learn First!
💻If you want to learn how to program but just don't know what language to start with, then this post is for you!
👾When I first started programming I had the exact same question. When I started my degree as a computer science student I was given so much information about all of the different programming languages that are being used now a days and it was super overwhelming.
💽I have made it super simple for you in this post!
🪩Once you learn what the most popular languages are then you just have to decide what kind of progrmming you want to do.
🦋If you are a creative person and are leaning more toward building websites, apps, and frontend designs then yo will want to learn how to code in JavaScript. JavaScript, along with HTML and CSS, are going to bring all of your digital design ideas to life!
🧩If you are more of a puzzle solver and want to work on backend (which means more analytical work) then you probably want to start with either Python or Java! Both of the programming languages are very popular and my first language was actually Java, which is what was taught first at my university. Python is a lot easier to understand and has a lot of libraries and resources available, and Java is a bit harder to learn but will make you understand exactly how your code is working and can make you a better programmer in my opinion. It's also a lot easier once you've learned Java, to then start learning Python as a second language!

Learning to program can be a daunting task for beginners. It’s essential to understand the primary programming languages available and their applications. JavaScript, for instance, is perfect for those who wish to create visually appealing web pages and user interfaces. Its power lies in enabling the interactivity you see in modern web apps. If you lean towards backend development, languages like Python and Java are excellent choices. Python is often lauded for its simplicity and readability, making it perfect for newcomers, while Java provides a more complex but structured foundation in programming. Resources are abundant for both languages, with Python boasting extensive libraries such as NumPy and Pandas, ideal for data manipulation, while Java is favored in enterprise-level applications. Ultimately, your choice should reflect your personal interests: do you prefer designing engaging user experiences or solving intricate coding problems? Whichever path you choose, learning the basics of programming will open doors to numerous career opportunities in tech.
