As a parent, it can be both confusing and heartbreaking when you notice that your son who once shared everything with you suddenly becomes distant and less communicative. Remember, many boys learn to hide feelings because they believe they need to appear strong or because they aren’t sure how to articulate what they feel. Ultimately, encouraging open dialogue about emotions, no matter how small, and showing empathy helps break down barriers. Fathers especially can play a pivotal role by modeling emotional transparency and demonstrating that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.
