I used to be ashamed of the way I looked…#paranoia

I was so paranoid but, I learned over the following years that I was beautiful. I was king so I had beauty on the inside…Then I wasn’t seeing on the outside how much God blessed me with. My roommate could judge me for wearing a crop top….MY GOSH!! Seriously I should’ve been strutting out and about in town but I was hiding in my room isolating. I’m still working on isolating.

📝Fashion Style:

1/10 Edited to

... Read moreI remember those days vividly when every glance felt like a judgment and every outfit choice was shadowed by fear. For years, I let insecurity dictate how I presented myself to the world, constantly hiding behind oversized clothes and avoiding social situations. It was draining, and I knew I wasn't truly living. What helped me most was realizing that shame often comes from the stories we tell ourselves rather than reality. I started small by wearing pieces that made me feel good—even if it was just a crop top in my room at first. Gradually, I noticed a shift: confidence blossomed when I stopped fearing judgment and started celebrating my uniqueness. One key lesson was understanding that beauty isn't just about looks—it's deeply connected to how we perceive ourselves and the kindness we show ourselves. Spiritual beliefs helped me see that I was blessed in many ways, beyond just physical traits. This mindset made it easier to dismiss negative opinions, like those from my roommate, and focus on my own happiness. Fashion became a fun form of self-expression rather than a source of anxiety. Rather than hiding, I began exploring styles that reflected who I truly was inside. This journey is ongoing, and some days are harder than others, but embracing vulnerability and self-love has been liberating. If you're struggling with similar feelings, remember: you don’t have to face it alone. Taking small steps to challenge your fears and embracing your individual beauty can transform how you see yourself and the world around you.
