The version that chose peace.
💭 I didn’t become softer because life got kinder.
I became calmer because chaos was costing me my body, my patience, and my joy.
There was a time when survival felt like strength.
When staying loud, reactive, and always on edge felt normal.
When peace felt unfamiliar—almost suspicious.
But healing taught me something different 🌹
Peace isn’t giving up.
Peace is choosing yourself without needing permission.
Here’s the thing ⬇️
Choosing peace looks like:
• Pausing instead of reacting
• Protecting your nervous system like it matters (because it does)
• Letting go of people who only knew the unhealed version of you
• Moving your body from respect, not punishment
• Modeling regulation instead of resilience-for-show 🦋
This version of me doesn’t fight to be understood anymore.
She listens to her body.
She sets boundaries without explaining them.
She chooses consistency over chaos—even when it’s uncomfortable ⚡
And as a mother…
this version is the one my children deserve.
Not perfect.
Not silent.
Just present, grounded, and safe 💗
