How I’ve Made Over $5,000 With Side Hustles
This year, I decided to take my side hustles seriously so I could work toward paying off debt and having additional income. After tracking my earnings, I realized I’ve made over $5000 from side hustles. Here are some of the ones that work for me.
Freelance Writing - This is my favorite side hustle. I write website content like blogs, ebooks, landing pages, emails, and more for companies in the tech and SaaS space. I started on Upwork and simultaneously built up my LinkedIn presence to create inbound leads. Now, I make an average of $500 - $1000 per writing project with repeat clients.
Web Design - I didn’t realize how much money was in web design until I secured my first client. I primarily offer Shopify designs (an e-commerce platform) and custom designs using Webflow. I find my clients through Upwork and Contra. My projects bring in $450+ every time.
Training AI - I’m part of Outlier, a platform that hires people to train AI models. You either write prompts, rate prompts, or both. There are some other tasks involved as well. I make $15 per hour and choose my hours.
Print on Demand - I haven’t made as much with this side hustle but I’ve made sales without marketing which is always a plus. I use Canva premium to design t shirts, stickers, mugs, etc. then sell them on RedBubble. The marketplace handles printing and shipping so I don’t have to hold inventory.
