I'm so tired
You know that feeling when everyone tells you, "You're a teenager, enjoy life!" but inside, your mind just feels utterly drained when you try to do anything? I've been there. It's truly exhausting to constantly feel tired, especially when you're struggling to find your rhythm in studies and feel like you have no purpose, even if you haven't 'learned much' according to conventional standards. It's a strange kind of fatigue, isn't it? Not just physical, but a deep mental and emotional weariness. You might be putting in hours, attending classes, and attempting assignments, but it feels like the information isn't sticking, or you're just going through the motions. This can lead to a profound sense of purposelessness, making the tiredness even heavier. It's hard to engage with current and previous studies when your energy is constantly at rock bottom. I started to reflect on why I felt this way. Maybe it's the pressure to constantly perform, or the sheer volume of information coming at us daily. Sometimes, it's not about physical exertion, but the mental load of trying to figure out what you're even supposed to be doing with your life, let alone your academic path. When you can't find your own rhythm, everything feels like an uphill battle, and that cycle of not learning much despite feeling tired just continues. One thing I've realized is that it’s okay to acknowledge this feeling. It’s a starting point for reflection. Instead of beating myself up for feeling tired or unproductive, I've tried to be kinder to myself. I started by breaking down my studies into smaller, manageable chunks – not focusing on 'learning everything,' but just one small concept. This helped me slowly find a tiny bit of rhythm, even if it was just 15 minutes of focused work. As for the feeling of having no purpose, that's a big one. I used to think purpose had to be this grand, life-changing mission. But what if it's simpler? For me, it became about finding small pockets of joy or contribution, even if it was just helping a friend or creating something small. It's about slowly rediscovering what genuinely sparks interest, even when your mind feels so heavy. Another thing that helped was intentionally scheduling 'down' time that wasn't just scrolling. Taking short walks, listening to music, or just sitting in silence for a few minutes. It sounds counter-intuitive when you feel like you haven't 'done enough,' but these breaks actually helped clear my mind and reduce the overwhelming sense of tiredness. Remember, being told to 'enjoy life' doesn't mean you have to be 'on' all the time. Sometimes, enjoying life means allowing yourself to rest and process. If you’re feeling this constant tiredness, struggling to find your academic rhythm in your current and previous studies, and wrestling with a sense of purposelessness because you didn't learn much or don't feel like you did, know that you're absolutely not alone. It's a journey, and giving yourself space for reflection is the first step. Share your experiences; sometimes just venting helps lighten the load. Let's support each other in navigating these heavy feelings as we search for our own meaning and energy.
