... Read moreOh my goodness, every time I drop my dog off at the groomers at Petco, it's like a mini adventure for me! I swear, I spend half my time just wandering through the animal sections, dreaming of adding another furry (or feathery, or scaly!) friend to my family. This last visit was no exception, and I saw some of the most adorable creatures.
First up, those tabby kittens! Seriously, can anything be cuter than a pile of sleeping kittens? They were all snuggled up in their clear enclosure, one on a soft bed and another tucked right beside it. My heart just melted watching them. It's moments like these that make me seriously consider if I can really make space for another cat. Petco often partners with local shelters for cat adoptions, which is so great because it means these little guys are looking for forever homes, not just being sold as merchandise. If you're ever wondering, 'does Petco have animals?' or specifically 'kittens for sale at Petco?', yes, they absolutely do facilitate adoptions, often through these wonderful partnerships. It's a fantastic way to find a new companion.
Beyond the feline cuteness, there was a tiny, fluffy grey and white hamster that was just having the best time munching away at its food bowl. Its little red eyes were so bright, and it was surrounded by wood shavings – living its best hamster life! It reminded me how much personality these small creatures have.
Then I spotted the white mice, darting around and peeking out from a little grey castle. One was even chilling in a clear tube, looking so content. They're so much fun to watch, always busy with something.
The guinea pigs also stole a piece of my heart. There was this super fluffy one with beautiful white, brown, and black markings, just sitting calmly in its hay-filled enclosure. And another, a handsome black and brown guinea pig, looking curiously towards the edge of its space. They have such gentle dispositions, and seeing them munch on hay always makes me smile. They're surprisingly expressive little guys!
And let's not forget the birds! A whole flock of colorful parakeets were chirping away, perched on a big wooden play structure. They had ladders and bright plastic chain toys, making their enclosure look like a mini playground. Their vibrant colors and lively chatter just brightened my day. It's fascinating how many different types of animals Petco hosts, from these small mammals and birds to fish and sometimes even reptiles.
It truly makes you think about 'what animals do they sell at Petco?' beyond just the common ones. They have such a variety! While I don't have the space for another pet right now, spending time with these animals is such a joy. It's a good reminder that getting a pet is a big commitment, requiring space, time, and love. But for those who are ready, Petco and their adoption partners offer so many wonderful options. What about you? Have you ever had a favorite animal sighting at Petco, or perhaps even brought a new friend home?
