living my white girl life on exchange 🔱😈

Hi lemon8 🍋🍋 it’s been a while since i’ve posted but I recently came back from my 5 month exchange in Arizona State University (ASU) in USA and just wanted to use this platform to share my experience and also to dump my memories so i can look back on them 🤍

the reason why i chose ASU was because I have always wanted to experience American college life and live a white girl life HAHA and this exchange was everything i wanted and more!!! i’m not gonna go into too much details bc there’s way too much to say… the pictures in the post only capture a glimpse of how much fun i had and im forever grateful for this experience.

this post only show my life in Arizona, but i also did travel to different parts of USA (will be in a separate post!). i went to many big cities and also experienced Coachella 😭😭 can’t wait to share all my experiences but these 5 months were truly a dream come true <3

if you’re thinking of going to America for your exchange, just go for it! i was really able to step out of my comfort zone. meet so many new people, and experience life in a whole new perspective!! :”)

During my exchange at Arizona State University, I discovered that joining campus social events like frat parties and BBQ nights truly helped me connect with people from diverse backgrounds. These activities made those first few weeks exploring Tempe unforgettable as I built a new circle of friends who shared similar passions. Balancing academics with an active social life at ASU was challenging yet rewarding. I found that utilizing the university’s orientation programs was key to understanding the campus culture and resources, which helped me adapt quickly. Plus, weekend trips around Arizona and a spring break road trip to California added to the rich experience of living abroad. For anyone considering a semester exchange, I highly recommend embracing every opportunity to step out of your comfort zone. Engaging fully in both studies and extracurriculars creates a holistic college experience. Whether it's attending themed parties or exploring the nightlife, these moments will become cherished memories. My exchange wasn’t just about academics—it was about personal growth and gaining a fresh perspective on life. If you’re weighing options between universities or considering study abroad destinations, ASU offers a vibrant campus life with excellent support for international students.
