Happy Monday, loves! There's a question I've seen popping up a lot lately, and honestly, I get it! Many of you have been asking 'wheresshylah?' It warms my heart to know how many of you care and notice when someone's not around, so thank you for thinking of her! Tonight, just like many *MONDAY NIGHT*s, I embraced my favorite ritual: a 30 mins at home hot pilates session. It's truly my sanctuary after a long day, a time to reconnect with my body and mind. And yes, Pookie was there, as always, supervising from her favorite sunbeam spot, occasionally letting out a tiny sigh as I pushed through a challenging pose. She’s definitely my cutest (and least helpful) workout buddy! So, about Shylah – she's doing absolutely fantastic! She's been a bit busy lately with a new project that's taking up a lot of her time, which is why she hasn't popped up in my recent posts or joined my virtual sessions. We actually just caught up over the weekend, and she sends her love to everyone who's been asking. We're already planning our next joint workout, likely a weekend hike rather than hot pilates this time, to shake things up. It's so great to have friends who share your passion for wellness, and while I love my solo sessions, I definitely miss her energy and encouragement. For those of you curious about my 30 mins at home hot pilates routine: it's surprisingly effective! I usually turn up the heat in my room a bit (safely, of course!), put on some calming music, and follow an online instructor. The heat really helps my muscles feel more pliable and I find it adds an extra challenge, making me sweat more and feel incredibly detoxified afterward. I focus a lot on core strength, flexibility, and controlled breathing. A typical session for me involves a warm-up with cat-cow stretches, some planks and side planks for core stability, then moving into leg raises, glute bridges, and finishing with some deep stretches. No travel time, no specific class schedule, just pure, focused movement whenever I need it. It's a perfect way to de-stress and build strength without leaving your comfort zone. Plus, Pookie gets to be my audience, which is a bonus!
