Let’s Study Her: Martha ✨
We often remember Martha as “the busy one.”
But when I slowed down and really read the passage, I noticed something different.
The Bible never calls Martha lazy.
It never says she was selfish.
It doesn’t even say she was trying to impress Jesus.
Instead, Scripture says she was “careful and troubled about many things.” (Luke 10:41 KJV)
That changed everything for me.
Maybe Martha wasn’t simply busy.
Maybe she was overwhelmed.
Maybe she loved Jesus deeply but had become so focused on serving Him that she forgot to simply be with Him.
How many of us do the same?
We fill our calendars.
We serve everyone around us.
We try to be productive, helpful, and responsible…
Yet we quietly neglect the very relationship we’re trying to honor.
This series isn’t about making assumptions about Bible characters.
It’s about slowing down, examining what Scripture actually says, and asking what God might be teaching us through it.
📖 This week’s study: Martha (Luke 10:38–42)
I’d love to know…
What stood out to you most in Martha’s story? 🤍
Save this study so you can come back to it during your quiet time, and send it to someone who needs the reminder that Jesus desires His presence with us, not just our performance.

Wow this really was needed for me. I am always doing for others. But it’s not what we do it’s our relationship with God…
