What I ate at Olive Garden

I started out with the raspberry lemonade but it was a little tart (still good I had 2). We went with the salad instead of soups, but the salad is always good. Our bread sticks were quite hard and over seasoned but still good. I ate 2 of them (and 2 plates of salad). I got one of my favorites the shrimp scampi. I'm not a huge fan of the tomatoes but it's still really good. I only ate about half but brought it home for leftovers.

I also ordered a catering salad (which comes with a bunch of croutons, Parmesan cheese, a bottle of the Italian dressing, and a dozen bread sticks) and a gallon of the chicken and gnocchi soup to take home.

It's always a good time going to Olive Garden. My overall rating for this trip- 8/10

The Shrimp Scampi is definitely one of their lighter pasta options, packed with succulent shrimp, crisp asparagus, and juicy tomatoes, all tossed in a garlic butter sauce over capellini pasta. Personally, I found the blanched tomatoes to be a bit much for my taste, as noted in my 8/10 rating for the dish. If you're not a huge fan of tomatoes like me, don't hesitate to ask your server if you can get them on the side or even omitted. It's all about making your meal perfect for *you*! It's one of those dishes that feels fresh and satisfying without being too heavy, perfect if you're looking for something a bit less traditional than their alfredo or lasagna. Beyond the main course, let's talk about those iconic Olive Garden staples. Their endless salad, which I rated a perfect 10/10, is always a winner for me. That signature Italian dressing is just unbeatable! However, my experience with the bread sticks this time around was a bit different; they were a 7/10 because they felt quite hard and overly seasoned. Usually, they're soft and warm, so it might have just been an off day. Still, I devoured two plates of salad and two breadsticks because, well, they're irresistible! Pro tip: if your breadsticks are ever less than perfect, don't hesitate to ask for a fresh batch – they're usually happy to bring them out hot and soft. Speaking of drinks, I started with the Raspberry Lemonade. While it’s amazing, I did find it quite tart, giving it a 7/10. If you prefer something a little sweeter, you might want to try their regular lemonade or another beverage option. Sometimes, a little extra ice can help mellow out the tartness too! One of my favorite Olive Garden hacks is taking home some of their delicious catering items. I absolutely love their catering salad, which comes with all the fixings: croutons, Parmesan, and a bottle of their famous Italian dressing, plus a dozen breadsticks. It's perfect for a quick lunch the next day or feeding a crowd! And you absolutely have to try their Chicken and Gnocchi soup. It's pure comfort in a bowl. Grabbing a gallon to go means I get to enjoy that creamy, hearty goodness for days – it's a lifesaver for busy weeknights when you want something comforting without cooking. Overall, Olive Garden is always a good time for me. My recent visit, despite a few minor points like the breadsticks and the tart lemonade, still earned an 8/10. It’s a great spot for a casual meal, and their menu offers something for everyone, from classic pasta dishes to lighter options like the Shrimp Scampi. Don't be afraid to experiment with your order or ask for recommendations – the staff are usually super helpful!

Olive Garden is a classic. I always end up eating way too many breadsticks though, no regrets. 🥖

Ask them to add more syrup if it’s too tart next time! We mix it before we open, but unfortunately depending on the busser, it’s not the same every time.
