My dad has always been a horrible person.When my parents first got married he would be mentally and physically abusive to my mom.So much so that he would drag her down the stairs when she was pregnant with my sibling and that’s why they came out upside down when they were born. Whenever he did this he would threaten my mom saying that if she ever said something he would call ICE on her since she was illegal at the time. The abuse only continued, and after twenty long years my parents finally separated eight years ago. I was ten and obviously my parents both shared custody. My sibling went off to the navy so I was all alone. For the first years my dad treated me nicely since he wanted to win me over and take me away from my mom to make her suffer more, but it seems that by the time I turned thirteen he realized it wasn’t gonna work and he started showing his true self. He would have random outbreaks of anger and a lot of times take it out on me whenever I visited him and my step family. I remember clearly when we went on a vacation to Savannah Georgia and he yelled at me and scolded me for what seemed like thirty minutes in public at a gift shop where there was many people, and he continued on the street when we left the store, everyone was watching us. On another vacation he also verbally abused me in front of my step family and triggered my anxiety so much I ended up having a seizure soon after. My mental stress was so bad and then Covid came along which only made things worse. It didn’t help that after that seizure I had more and got diagnosed with epilepsy. The first medication they gave me had side effects in my emotions and it made me more irritable than normal, my mom told my dad about this and he acted like he understood.But when the time came that I would be in a bad mood that only set him off. One time when I was staying with him I accidentally said something with sass I guess and that day I was supposed to get an EEG scan to see where the seizures were happening in my brain. I was supposed to eat and not take my medication that day, and it’s known that with epilepsy types like mine I can’t get worked up emotionally when off my medication cause it can cause a seizure and he knew that, but instead on our way to the hospital he yelled at me and made me feel like less than human after serving me a burnt pancake for breakfast. Fast forward to this year, we had a ton of more fights but around December 2023 we were on good terms, that is until two days before new years. Long story short, we got into another huge argument when my family was at an Airbnb in Dallas Texas and he pretty much said that he was gonna stop helping me pay for college and that he wouldn’t help me financially period. I got mad and told him that he’s a bad person and that was it, but I was so frustrated that later that night my sibling and I ended up telling my step mom about how he would beat my mom when they were first married. My step mom ended up asking him if it was true behind our backs and of course he got furious and he ended up kicking my sibling and I out.I had no where to go since I didn’t have my college ID to get into my dorm since I left it all the way in Houston where he lives which is three hours away from my college. We had to take a 250 dollar Lyft to go back and get all of our stuff, and I was so mad that I kinda sorta spilled a ton of food on his floors and ripped family photos as well as turned the heater up so that when he came back to the house with the rest of our family it would smell bad. I ended up having to stay with my roommate for the rest of the holidays because my sibling had to go back to Virginia where they live. When my dad found out he reported me and my sibling to the police and threatened to sue us.But now that five months passed and he reflected he’s trying to act like he still loves me and keeps sending me money through cash app as bait.
