+ DAY 1: THE FOCUS AUDIT (MINDSET)
Scripture of the Day: Read and write out Psalm 46:10 ("Be still, and know that I am God)
Consistency in daily spiritual practice is something many struggle with, myself included. What I found so helpful about the 5-Day Daily Walk Self-Check is its intentional structure—especially Day 1’s Focus Audit that centers around Psalm 46:10, "Be still, and know that I am God." Taking time to write out the scripture not only helps to internalize the message but creates a quiet moment to reset your mindset. One of the most impactful parts of the practice is beginning each morning by identifying your #1 distraction. Personally, I realized my biggest distraction was constantly checking my phone first thing. Once identified, I made a conscious effort to set my phone aside and create a small ritual of reading the scripture and expressing gratitude for three things before engaging with the outside world. The evening reflection is equally important. It encourages looking back at the day to see where you noticed God working in your life, which cultivates mindfulness and appreciation for everyday moments. This self-check creates a peaceful, intentional space that I found much easier to maintain than vague goals for consistency. The downloadable 5-Day PDF is a great companion that keeps you accountable without feeling overwhelming. I highly recommend committing to this simple yet powerful routine to anyone wanting to strengthen their daily quiet time and spiritual focus.
