I visited Fukuroda Falls a few years ago.
This is the first time this season 😲
The waterfall was frozen ❄
Fukuroda Falls is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan.
It is 120 meters high and 73 meters wide.
It is said that you can not taste the true taste unless you come once every four seasons 😊
Certified as a lover's sanctuary in 2015 👩❤️👨

The view from the top of the mountain is amazing.
It seemed that I could go to Mt. Nantai course from the middle of the descent, but I was not dressed for climbing on this day, so

冬の袋田の滝は、同じ場所でも季節で別世界になるのが一番の魅力でした。私が行った日は「袋田の滝 冬 凍結」まさにその状態で、岩肌に氷が張りつき、氷柱が育っていて“氷瀑”の迫力に圧倒…。滝壺付近は青みがかった氷が見えて、少しだけ流れる水音が逆に寒さを際立たせていました。防寒は本気がおすすめで、手袋＋ニット帽があるだけで体感が全然違います。 あと、地味に感動したのが「袋田の滝 トンネル ライトアップ」。滝へ向かうトンネルが赤・青・紫っぽい光で照らされていて、外の冬景色とのギャップがすごいんです。天井の装飾も相まって、移動時間が“前奏”みたいで気分が上がりました。写真を撮るなら、トンネル内は明暗差が出やすいので、人物より風景寄りで撮ると雰囲気が出やすかったです。 混雑が気になる人向けに体感も。冬は「お盆 袋田の滝 混雑」と比べると、私はだいぶ歩きやすい印象でした（ただし氷瀑がしっかり出る週末は人気なので早めが安心）。お盆時期は駐車場や食事処が混みやすいと聞くので、もし夏に行くなら朝早め到着＆帰りの時間をずらすのが良さそう。 そして時間に余裕があれば、月居山ハイキングコースが想像以上に良かったです。吊り橋横の階段を上がると一気に“ちょっとした登山”感が出て、山頂からの眺めがご褒美でした。私は軽装だったので男体山コースは見送りましたが、次は登山靴でしっかり歩きたい…！ 最後の楽しみはごはん。冷えた体に、鮎の塩焼きの香ばしさと、けんちんそばの温かさがしみました。冬の茨城で迷ったら、袋田の滝は景色・ライトアップ・軽めの山歩き・グルメまで一気に楽しめるスポットだと思います。
