I Quit My NWM (network marketing) Job

I quit my NWM job and I have learned so many lessons from the experience

All of which…the hard way but I wouldn’t change it.

This year has been a roller coaster to say the least 🥴 and one of the bigger moments has been walking away from something I whole heartedly wanted for 3 years straight.

A lot of coaches, leaders, mentors will share their experiences and “proven strategies” so you can “avoid” making the mistakes they made and I while I do think many of them have good intentions

truthfully none of what I was told really sank in until I experienced it for myself…

and that meant making the mistakes.

But in reflecting on those difficult and some downright painful moments, a lot of growth and clarity has happened.

The catch 22 to all of this is that I’ve learned that being “all-in” and consumed by this one thing as being my ticket to “freedom” has been anything but.

However, I don’t think I’d have this level of clarity if I had not been consumed by this hope.

I don’t think it’s wrong to be obsessed with your goals…but at the same time I am sick of hearing that you have to be.

It’s a weird feeling to have though, wanting to help the next person from getting swallowed up by the hype -but at the same time knowing I wouldn’t even know myself if I hadn’t completely lost myself.

And if it sounds like it was all bad, it wasn’t.

I know there are some strong opinions about the industry and I can see it from many different lenses now being somewhat removed.

I could go on and on …lowkey wish I had a podcast or something but for the sake of attention spans and character limits I will just say this

I don’t regret doing NWM and I can’t say I’ll never do it again.

But I know that in the future if I do decide to do it again, I will make sure that it’s something that ENHANCES my life and isn’t what I hope to be a ticket out of it.

However, the reality can be starkly different. In NWM, the pressure to be perpetually 'on' can lead to burnout rather than the promised freedom. As you navigate this landscape, you may discover that the inspiration and strategies offered by mentors often resonate more deeply after personal experience. Mistakes become stepping stones for growth, illuminating what truly matters. Instead of chasing an elusive ideal of success, focus on aligning your endeavors with your values. Embrace the lessons learned, including understanding that passion should enhance your life, not consume it completely. It's crucial to define what success means for you, unencumbered by external expectations. If you ever consider returning to network marketing, ensure it is to amplify your life and foster genuine connections. The insights gained can serve as a compass guiding your future choices, reminding you that every experience, whether positive or challenging, contributes to your personal journey. Reflect on how your time in NWM shaped your beliefs and aspirations. This self-reflection can empower you to make informed decisions moving forward, ultimately leading to a more fulfilling life.
