The evolution of #gifts I received 🤣🤗
Hey there! I was looking through my old Facebook photos and noticed something interesting. The gifts I've received from my friends over the years have really evolved! 🤣
Back in the day, whether it was a birthday or just a random gift, I used to get perfumes, dresses, or bags. But now that I'm a bit older (a ripe aged 3️⃣0️⃣!), I'm getting more practical gifts. Don't get me wrong - I still love them! It's cute to see how my friends' gift-giving styles have changed. 💕
Wanna hear about some of the gifts I've gotten recently?
My hubby RJ used to give me angpao or pay for staycations and air tickets, but this year, he's been giving me more work-related gifts, like an iPhone, Apple Watch, and iPad 📲⌚️
He even got me a snazzy belt to wear with my formal attire! 🤣😂
My girlfriends know me so well - they got me woks and pans because they know how much I love to cook. We also do a lot of food-sharing (who doesn't love a good barter system?), and they always bring sake, beer, and liquor for our home catch-ups. 🍔🍱🍻🥂🍾🍷🍳
My bros are awesome too (Dare not to say no). They know how much I love to travel, so they give me air tickets, and we all share a love for food (who doesn't?!). ✈️🍿🍽️
Name them: chilli crab, grilled fish, BBQ stingray, keropok, satay, etc 🎣🦐🍢🦀
BELT! 🙋🏻♀️
They always relate belts with me. Is it because I am always in my office attire? (I shall reflect on my wardrobe collection.) 👗👩💼💼📊
And then there was the time my bro got me flowers...🌻
So he claimed that no girls dislike flowers. RJ agreed and said, "Yes, obviously. But this is Meylisa we are talking about. She loves numbers, not petals." 🔢💯

So they made a bet and said who knows, one day I will like flowers? 😅❌
and my answer is still a "NO"

Actually, I like the message behind every gift 🤗
To me, a gift tells so much about the friendship/relationship between the individual; How much you know the person and appreciate/value them 🤝🏘️🌌
but still, I'm not too fond of flowers. hahaaha! The last sunflower I received, I told my bro straight. "This one sure dies in days. I don't and won't take care of flowers" 🤣🌻
Then he sent me another one on my 30th birthday (this year) 😅
