Things I noticed when I started healing:

My healing journey has been so messy, and it helped me SO much to start identifying little things that were signs of growth ❤️‍🩹 those little moments of “hey this is different” really kept me going.

Because sometimes I felt like I was making zero progress - or even moving backward. And that’s really discouraging. But recognizing little wins? That’s everything 🥹🥰

What are the first things you noticed when you started healing?

... Read moreStarting a healing journey often feels overwhelming, especially when progress isn’t always visible. From my own experience, I found that noticing the little changes helped keep me motivated. For example, feeling more at ease in my body was one of the earliest signs that I was healing. Before, discomfort would hit me hard, but over time, my tolerance increased, and I could sit with uncomfortable emotions without immediately reacting. Another breakthrough was learning to set boundaries. This shift didn’t happen overnight—it was a subtle realization that life felt less like an emotional roller coaster. Instead of being overwhelmed or overstimulated, I began to see my emotions as teachers, guiding me to healthier coping mechanisms. This mindset change made self-compassion easier and helped me bounce back quicker from frustrating triggers. Joy became more accessible as I started focusing on lessons within obstacles rather than just the challenges themselves. Even small tasks like keeping up with household chores or doing the dishes began to feel more manageable. These everyday wins reinforced that healing is not just about grand breakthroughs but consistent little victories. One unexpected but uplifting aspect was how much easier it became to take care of myself. Once a chore, self-care transformed into a daily priority that felt natural rather than forced. For anyone at the start or in the midst of their healing process, I recommend looking out for these subtle signs: increased emotional tolerance, ability to set boundaries, more frequent self-compassion, and finding joy in small victories. Recognizing these moments transforms a seemingly messy journey into a powerful story of growth and resilience.

Still trying. I feel like eventually getting to the point of releasing resentments. Not trying to reason with unreasonable people and knowing our own truths without external validation.

The image features the title "Quotes that helped me heal from the heartbreak that shattered me" on a pink rectangle. The background shows burnt paper fragments scattered on a dark surface, with a soft glow emanating from the right side.
