Frieren review

Been wanting to do this review for quite a while. Listed as one of the best anime in recent years, I decided to check it out. I can understand why it deserved so many praises.
First of all, the storytelling is excellent. Even though the journey has ended for Frieren’s party, each character in her party has its own character development, making u feel connected to their backstories & motivations. The side characters are great as well, allowing Frieren to discover emotions or feelings & reflect on her journey.
Pacing is slow at times, which can be an issue, but in this case, it feels like u r going on the journey with these characters. The action is also impressive, even though this is not an action packed anime. If u r into that kind of genre, this might not be your cup of tea. At the start, I thought the tone was gonna be serious, but it is actually light hearted & the humour is good too.
The only nitpick I sort of have is that season 2 feels short, with 10 eps. I just hope that we get to see more of the journey. Nevertheless, I think this is a series u should not miss out. Looking forward to the next season!

This detail enhances the overall experience and makes the anime stand out from typical action-driven stories. If you’re curious about these nuanced moments, paying attention to the food scenes in Frieren can offer a fresh perspective on the characters’ evolving relationships. It also reminds us how shared meals can symbolize unity and healing, a recurring theme as Frieren reflects on her past and the journey ahead.
