easy cinnamon roll bites 🤤

this recipe was quick, easy, & sooo good !

EDIT:

some people seem to be having issues with them not fully cooking, and it may be because of using water and not milk! i found this recipe elsewhere and shared it here, i used milk and it worked perfectly so ignore the water part! if they arent 100% cooked there still shouldnt be any issues since there arent raw eggs, etc in them.

... Read moreAs someone who absolutely loves a sweet treat but doesn't always have hours to spend in the kitchen, discovering this recipe for easy cinnamon roll bites was a game-changer! Trust me when I say these are incredibly simple to make and taste absolutely divine. They hit all the right notes: warm, sweet, cinnamony, and so satisfying. One of the best things about this recipe is how few ingredients you need, most of which you probably already have in your pantry. We're talking about basic items like flour, baking powder, salt, milk, vanilla extract, butter, sugar, and of course, plenty of ground cinnamon. The magic really happens with the proportions and the simplicity of the method. I've found that using good quality cinnamon makes a huge difference in the final flavor – it really shines through! Tips for Perfect Bites Every Time: Milk vs. Water: The original recipe I adapted mentioned water, but I've personally found that using milk makes these bites much softer and richer. It adds a lovely tenderness that water just can't replicate. If your dough feels a bit dry, don't be afraid to add a tiny splash more milk until it comes together into a shaggy, workable dough. Don't Overmix: When you combine your wet ingredients (milk, vanilla) with your dry ones (flour, baking powder, salt), mix just until combined. Overmixing can lead to tough bites, and we want them soft and fluffy! Baking Temperature & Time: My oven bakes perfectly at 375°F, and these little beauties are usually done in about 6-8 minutes. Keep a close eye on them! They should be lightly golden on the edges. Since there are no raw eggs, a slightly underbaked center isn't a safety issue, but a fully cooked bite is much better in texture. If they seem gooey, give them another minute or two. Coating is Key: Don't skimp on coating them first in melted butter and then in that glorious cinnamon sugar mixture. This is where most of the flavor and that irresistible texture comes from. Make sure every piece is generously coated! Creative Variations to Try: For those of you looking to experiment, I've tried a few twists that you might enjoy: Gluten-Free Option: For my gluten-sensitive friends, I've successfully swapped regular flour for a 1:1 gluten-free baking flour blend. The texture might be slightly different, but they're still delicious! Make sure your blend contains xanthan gum for elasticity. Fried Dough Bites: If you're feeling adventurous and want that fried dough carnival vibe, you can lightly fry these instead of baking. Just heat about an inch of oil in a pan over medium heat and fry until golden brown, flipping once. Drain on paper towels before coating in cinnamon sugar. An air fryer also works for a healthier 'fried' option! Single Serve Craving: Sometimes you just want a few treats! This recipe is easily halved or even quartered for a single-serving batch. Just adjust the ingredient amounts proportionally. Glaze Enhancements: While the classic powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla glaze is perfect, you can add a tiny bit of cream cheese for a cream cheese glaze, or a drop of maple extract for a maple twist. Flavor Boosts: A pinch of nutmeg or cardamom in your cinnamon sugar mix can add an extra layer of warmth. A tiny bit of orange zest in the dough or glaze is also fantastic! These cinnamon roll bites are best enjoyed warm, right out of the oven, with that sweet drizzle. They're perfect for a quick breakfast, a dessert, or just a little pick-me-up. My family devours them every time, and I bet yours will too! Give this quick and easy recipe a try; it's sure to become a favorite in your home.
