📚⭐️Mini Review on Caught Up from the Windy City Series⚾️👶

Alright this series is batting 3/3 so far with me! Each book is sooo good and I’m eating it up! I thought, ok this series is too hyped up I’m not sure if I’m even going to like it but man! Each set of characters in each book just keep you connected, even when the authors is setting up the characters for her next book, she does it in a way where you can’t waiiiit to read their story. It’s so light and doesn’t take any effort to get into or to follow along. And the character building *Chefs Kiss* I do love me a nanny Romance but so far I don’t think I can pick a favorite couple! I love them all so much so far! The banter in this book is so good, and the chemistry! I didn’t want to put this book down. So far all 3 of her books in this series have been like that, where I wanna just read it all in one sitting. I would definitely recommend if you want something light, funny, and emotional—the characters have great chemistry, the banter keeps it fun, and it’s surprisingly easy to get attached to their story. 5/5 stars for me! #windycityseries #bookthree #caughtup #liztomforde

4/24 Edited to

... Read moreHaving read multiple books in the Windy City Series, I can confidently say that Liz Tomforde masterfully combines humor, emotional depth, and compelling character development. One of the standout elements for me has been how the author uses the forced proximity trope alongside a grumpy x sunshine dynamic, which adds a charming contrast between the main characters. The series also thoughtfully explores themes like single parenthood, caregiving, and emotional healing in a sports romance setting that centers around Major League Baseball (MLB), making it a unique blend for romance readers. What really elevates 'Caught Up' is the authentic depiction of the characters’ relationships. The chemistry and playful banter between Montgomery and the nanny inject warmth and realism, turning what could be a simple romance into a captivating story. The emotional layers, especially the gradual slow burn romance, make it easy to get invested in the characters’ journeys. The protective male main character (MMC) trope paired with elements of found family and workplace proximity further enrich the narrative. If you enjoy slow burn romances that focus on emotional healing and building trust, this book delivers remarkably well. The balance between funny moments and heartfelt scenes means it’s a read that’s both entertaining and touching. I found myself hooked enough to read in one sitting, eager to learn more about the characters introduced for future books in the series. For anyone intrigued by nanny romance or sports romance tropes, 'Caught Up' stands out with its unique combination of those elements, plus excellent pacing and character arcs. Whether you’re already a fan of the series or curious about a light yet meaningful romantic read, this book deserves a spot on your to-read list. Overall, it’s a perfect example of how well-crafted contemporary romance can be, blending humor, emotional complexity, and engaging tropes into one delightful package.
