Today is World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day.💜
Some people will read these facts and scroll.
Others will read them and see their own story.
The woman who stayed longer than she should have because she believed things would change.
The woman who was called "crazy" for reacting to behavior that was hurting her.
The woman who lost herself trying to save someone who never wanted to be saved.
The woman who is still healing from wounds no one else can see.
If any of these facts felt personal, I hope you know this:
You are not weak. You are not crazy. You are not too sensitive. And you are not alone.
Healing takes time, but what happened to you does not define who you are.
Today, we raise awareness for the survivors who are still finding their voice and for those who are bravely using it.

Experiencing narcissistic abuse or domestic violence can leave lasting scars that are often invisible to others. From personal experience, I understand the overwhelming mix of emotions—a feeling of isolation, self-doubt, and confusion about why you stayed or why others don’t understand. It is crucial to remember that these abusive patterns are designed to manipulate and control, often making the victim question their reality. One of the most powerful steps toward healing is acknowledging your experience and realizing you are not alone. According to recent statistics, 1 in 4 women faces severe physical violence from an intimate partner, and nearly half have endured sexual or physical violence or stalking. These numbers highlight the widespread nature of the issue but also remind us of the need for awareness and support. I found that connecting with support groups and trusted individuals who validate my feelings helped me rebuild my sense of self. Healing is not linear; it requires patience and self-compassion. Tools like therapy, journaling, and advocacy can empower survivors to reclaim their voices and lives. On this World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day, it’s vital to raise awareness not only externally but within ourselves. Recognize that being called "crazy" or "too sensitive" was a tactic to diminish your truth. You are strong for surviving what was meant to break you, and your healing journey is a testament to your resilience. Survivors who speak out contribute to critical change and inspire others to seek help. Remember, the wounds caused might not be visible, but they are real and valid. Keep sharing your story as it can be the light someone else needs to start their healing journey. Together, through awareness and solidarity, we can create safer spaces and communities for everyone affected by narcissistic and intimate partner abuse.
