Reflecting on my own personal flaws using ChatGPT’s visual interpretation was a surprisingly eye-opening experience. It highlighted many aspects I often keep to myself, like being a people pleaser — always prioritizing others even when it exhausts me. The constant self-criticism that runs through my mind and the struggle to see my own worth really resonated with me. Overthinking, fueled by my tendency to imagine the worst-case scenarios and replay everything, traps me in a cycle of anxiety and doubt. I’ve noticed how overcommitting to responsibilities, whether baking orders or client designs, often leaves me overwhelmed, trying to prove that I can handle it all even when I’m exhausted. This is accompanied by emotional bottling up; I hide my sadness and anxiety to avoid burdening anyone, which sometimes leads to loneliness and grief that I find hard to let go of. Recognizing the fear of abandonment and perfectionism that drives me to set impossible standards was challenging yet empowering. It reminded me that although I strive to be better and create more, beating myself up for not meeting these standards isn't helpful. Realizing that comparing myself to others’ highlight reels only makes me feel less worthy encourages me to focus more on self-compassion. From my personal experience, acknowledging these flaws instead of denying them is the first step towards healing. While these imperfections don’t define us, accepting them helps to build resilience and authenticity. Moving forward, I’m learning to manage my overthinking through mindfulness and setting realistic goals, while allowing myself grace when I stumble.
