As a foodie, I am not particularly picky with the food I eat so I enjoy exploring different cuisines. For our recent dinner date, I asked my girlfriends if they were keen in trying middle eastern food instead of our usual cafes hopping and thankfully they were all up for it! This was how we ended up at Ayasofya Turkish Restaurant located at Kampong Glam 🤪

💬 It is recommended to make a reservation beforehand as it gets pretty crowded during dinner hours even on a weekday. We ordered the Garlic Labneh as a dip for the bread and I loved how thick and creamy it was with a tinge of sourness. My favourite dish was the Chicken Mandi, as the meat was so tender and the rice was so so flavourful. It kinda tasted like Briyani! 🤭 One of my friends preferred the rice that came tgt with the Shish as it tasted just like our local chicken rice 🐔 We ended off our meal with their highly raved Kunefe and were not let down! It had the right warmth, crispness and sweetness 😌 Only letdown from our dinner experience was that my balloon bread came deflated and not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed cos I wanted to instagram it LOL 😂 But that’s just me being me haha! Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and are looking forward to try other Middle Eastern restaurants along the same street! 😬
