How I Learned to Enjoy Being Home Alone

I grew up in a big family. I used to have someone be with me at any time. Even after I got married, my husband and I spent almost every minute together until we encouraged each other to spend some time alone or with your own friends.

At the beginning, I felt uncomfortable and was nervous by myself at home when he’s on the trip with his friends.

But over time, I learned that peace doesn’t come from noise or people around me. It comes from feeling okay in my own company.

Now, I enjoy in simple things like sipping tea at patio and hearing the birds sing, cooking just for myself, exploring some new hobbies.

Being alone doesn’t mean being lonely anymore. It means my emotional independence and I am comfortable with myself.
