Just when it seems like life is starting to turn a new leaf of course something happens. Yesterday morning my husband was in a really bad car accident. On his way to work, someone ran a red light and hit him. Our car is totaled, and we were in the ER all day yesterday. For the most part Logan seems okay, besides not having feeling in left fingers and being unable to lift his arm past a certain point. He is pretty shaken up. I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who reached out yesterday. My husband is doing okay, just super sore. I’ve had so many people reach out to ask how they can help, and honestly I don’t know yet. It all depends on what insurance decides to do, so right now we are just waiting. I appreciate you all so much! If anyone is selling a reliable car I guess let us know! ðŸ«
Experiencing a car accident can turn life upside down in an instant. When someone runs a red light, the aftermath is not only about the physical injuries but the emotional and logistical challenges that follow. In our case, dealing with the sudden loss of transportation while awaiting insurance decisions has been stressful and overwhelming. From personal experience, one of the most helpful actions is to lean on your community—accept help when offered and don't hesitate to ask for resources like reliable vehicles, transportation assistance, or advice about dealing with insurance companies. Navigating medical concerns is equally important. My husband has been struggling with numbness in his left fingers and limited arm mobility, which are symptoms that should not be ignored. It’s vital to continue monitoring any changes and work closely with healthcare providers to ensure the best recovery path. Physiotherapy and follow-up appointments may be necessary to regain function. For anyone going through a similar ordeal, keep in mind that patience with the insurance process is crucial, though it can be frustrating. Document every detail of the accident and your communications. It also helps to explore all options for temporary transportation, whether through community lending programs or car sales. Above all, this experience has reminded me of the power of community support and kindness. If you find yourself in a tough situation like this, don’t hesitate to reach out and share your story—you might find comfort and assistance when you least expect it.
