I am your Tulum mommy for all your needs ❤️

So much to do in Tulum and never enough time.

This was my second time going and I love it there.

EVERY PLACE I TALK ABOUT IS ON THE BEACH STRIP…unless specified

The airbnb we stayed in was absolutely impeccable! I 100000% recommend it. It is called Meso Maya Villa. You can google them or they are also on Airbnb. Tell them Kelly E/foooodgalore sent you (;

Let me first start off by saying, I RECOMMEND getting a Jeep Wrangler when you arrive to Cancun airport and driving to Tulum. We always rent a car and it is literally the best. Every place at the airport when you arrive has them. ALWAYS negotiate with them. Everything is negotiable. You will have to pay for valet or parking but at least you can come and go as you please. I love it and will never not do it.

So let’s get started with places in Tulum…

For Day Parties…

If you like HOUSE MUSIC and want to go to a banging day party, Bagatelle beach club is the place to go. SUNDAYS are their brunch parties and the best day to go there if you want to vibe. The beds all have a cost and it is always 100% used toward consumption.

If you like a mix of music like hiphop/house/rap/throwbacks…Taboo, Tantra, and Rosa Negra beach club are all good for you. They are all owned by the same group so they are all pretty similar. We went to Taboo and Tantra the first time we went to tulum and I wasn’t too fond of it because I didn’t like the music too much, but the party is fun! The second time we went to tulum we did Rosa Negra beach club because it was new, and personally I liked it there better than its other two counter parts. All beds also have a cost and it all goes toward consumption as well.

***for all beach clubs, if you want to be apart of the party you got to get a bed reserved by their pool area. You can whats app them in advance and ask for pricing and everything in between***

Another cheaper beach club from the others mentioned above is Mia by Selina. They also play house music but it is a good chill spot with a DJ. (We didn’t reserve this place in advance, but like always I recommend it.)

We went to Casa Malca for a day and paid for the day pass they have and it was complete chill vibes. No music. No DJ. Just relaxing. The cost of the bed are pricy and only some of it goes toward consumption. Not all of the cost.

Another chill place for the day to go to is Papaya Playa. I’ve heard they have crazy parties when they do have DJs but we didn’t go to one so I couldn’t tell you but we went for a day and there wasn’t many people there. It was chill. There was a DJ so just chilling and listening to music was nice.

NOW FOR DINNERS…

Make all of your dinner reservations for like 9/9:30…if you want to be there for parties of course…

Party place always packed is of course Rosa Negra. They have music and they always do the sparkler show.

FRIDAY NIGHT party dinner is Bagatelle. I love this place and honestly can’t recommend it more…especially if you like house music.

Other dinner places we went to was Porfirios. Good food.

Gitano has great food as well. Usually they have a DJ too and like parties but we didn’t go to any when we went. We always say we are gunna go but never do! Next time we definitely will.

I LOVE TACOS and like authentic Mexican food a lot of these places have tacos but not your traditional tacos. If you want more Mexican style food and not so commercialized places, YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE MAIN ROAD OF TULUM. Not the beach strip.

After hours Night Club

Bonbonniere, it is right across from Bagatelle. They open after all the restaurants close and are open until around 4/5am…I guess it depends how the night is going 😂

GYM TULUM….

Smart Fit gym in tulum is the best gym there. If you need to workout like me whether you’re on vacation or not, I recommend going to smart fit…so good and modern…and super cheap..there daily pass is like about 6$ for 24h so you can go one morning and then literally go the next morning by that time or earlier and you won’t need to pay again. The daily fee is for 24h. Not something we are used to living in Jersey. Lol

For all my house music lovers, you know Tulum is a hotspot. While Bagatelle and Rosa Negra Beach Club are fantastic for their regular parties, the electronic music scene here often brings world-renowned DJs like Anyma to Mexico. Keep an eye out for special events and pop-ups! These can happen at various beach clubs or even more exclusive venues. It's worth doing a quick search before your trip to see if any of your favorite artists are playing. The energy at these events is just electric, completely different from your average club night. When planning your beach club days at places like Bagatelle or Rosa Negra, remember that while the consumption minimums might seem high, it's often worth it for the prime spots by the pool. Always WhatsApp them in advance to secure your bed and confirm the latest pricing. And don't forget about Smart Fit gym – if you're like me and need to balance indulgence with a good workout, their daily pass is a lifesaver and so affordable. Staying active helps you enjoy those late nights and delicious tacos even more! Beyond the glitz of the beach zone, Tulum's charm extends into its local town. This is where you’ll find authentic markets, more affordable souvenir shops, and culinary delights that won't break the bank. Don't be afraid to venture off the main strip; you'll discover places like El Galan and other hidden gems that offer a true taste of Quintana Roo. Renting that Jeep Wrangler, as I mentioned, really gives you the freedom to explore these distinct sides of Tulum at your own pace, from the vibrant beach parties to the laid-back local spots.
