MUIR WOODS DAY TRIP

If you live in the Bay Area, or are planning to visit soon, I have the perfect day trip for you 🫣 all you need is a car and some sneakers!

🌲 You’re going to start off the day by driving to Muir Woods National Monument. Muir Woods is a national park in Northern California know for their redwood trees. It’s truly perfect for all ages and hiking levels - you can pick from paved trails with boardwalks to more challenging, uphill trails. We spent around 3 hours there just walking around and it was so peaceful

🚗 Make sure to purchase a parking reservation IN ADVANCE! There is no service in the Muir Woods area, so download your parking reservation beforehand. You can also take a shuttle from SF. Parking costs $9 per car and entry fees are $15 per adult.

🐠 After a morning in the woods, drive over to Fish. in Sausalito for a late lunch. Fish is a casual seafood spot with indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and can sit wherever you like. We ordered some oysters, mussels, coleslaw, and clam chowder. Everything was SO good and fresh

🚶‍♀️ We spent the rest of the day just walking around Sausalito. The town was super cute and had a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
