The Easiest Way to Start Grilling? I Found It!
For years, I told myself that when I finally bought a home, I wanted a grill.
The problem? Propane and charcoal grills always felt intimidating. They seemed complicated, messy, and honestly a little overwhelming for someone who had never grilled before.
A few months ago, I came across the Ninja Woodfire Grill and immediately thought it might be the perfect fit. Since it's electric, it felt much less intimidating, it's the perfect size for my tiny front porch, and after reading so many great reviews, I decided to give it a try. Along with the grill, I also picked up the stand, a cover to protect it from the elements, a griddle plate (the grill plate is included, and a variety pack of 100% wood pellets.
My very first cook was burgers, hot dogs, grilled onions, and jalapeños. I couldn't believe how quickly everything cooked. The burgers were still frozen and they cooked in about 12-15 minutes, and the hot dogs only took about 5-6 minutes. Cleanup was just as impressive. The grill plate washed clean with almost no effort.
The grill comes with a starter pack of wood pellets, and once I use those up, I'm excited to start experimenting with the Kona variety pack. I love that I can try different wood flavors like apple, cherry, hickory, and oak depending on what I'm making.
The grill even comes with a little cookbook to get you started. I was flipping through the cookbook and saw a recipe for smoked peach cobbler. My mouth immediately started watering. 😋 I have a feeling that'll be one of the first desserts I make. ðŸ¤
Needless to say... I'm hooked.
Between grilling, smoking, roasting, and baking, I already have so many recipe ideas I can't wait to share.
If you could cook one thing on this grill, what would it be? I need ideas! 👇

Starting out with grilling can feel daunting due to the complexity and mess associated with propane or charcoal grills. From personal experience, switching to an electric grill that uses natural wood pellets truly changes the game, especially when dealing with limited space like a small porch. The Ninja Woodfire Grill's compact design fits perfectly in tiny outdoor areas without overwhelming the space. One of the most enjoyable aspects of using this grill is the variety of wood pellet flavors available. Experimenting with blends such as apple, cherry, hickory, and oak allows you to tailor the smoky taste to match your dish—from delicate fish to hearty beef burgers. It’s exciting to see how different wood types influence the aroma and depth of flavor, giving your meals a unique touch every time. Cleanup is another factor that made my grilling experience stress-free. The nonstick grill plate washes up with very little effort, which is a relief after cooking grilled veggies, meats, or even desserts. The included cookbook helps kickstart your culinary journey with easy recipes, like the smoked peach cobbler, which was a delicious surprise and proof that baking on this grill is totally achievable. For anyone new to outdoor cooking or those wary of propane leaks and charcoal flare-ups, an electric wood pellet grill provides an accessible alternative. It combines safety, convenience, and authentic grilling and smoking results. What’s more, using a grill powered by electricity but flavored by real wood pellets adds that smoky authenticity without the fuss. Beyond grilling, the versatility to roast and smoke different foods opens endless creative possibilities—perfect for sharing recipes and inspiring others. For those wondering what to cook on their first run, trying classic favorites like burgers and hot dogs works well, but branching into smoked cheeses or even desserts can be equally rewarding. This approach makes the Ninja Woodfire Grill not just an appliance, but a gateway to enjoying outdoor cooking with confidence and flavor.

Charred meat from the charcoal. You should be fine with the wood grill. Thanks for telling me about the alternative. I will grill some Salmon.
